MakeMyTrip, an online travel company, stated on Monday that it will enter the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
It is to commemorate the country’s popular as well as untapped vacation landscapes.
The breathtaking landscapes of Goa, Ladakh, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Kerala, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, and the Andaman Islands.
The above places are included in the first batch of these digitally made artworks.
MakeMyTrip has stated that all proceeds from the sale of these NFTs will be donated to the promotion of sustainable tourism in the country.
Each piece was created using Advanced AI Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs).
These were fed various pictures and taught to produce realistic, imaginative, and distinctive visuals.
“We’re giving travel aficionados a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to possess this beauty in the digital domain,” said Sunil Suresh, MakeMyTrip’s Group Chief Marketing Officer.
The company has issued 25 tokens per artwork for a starting price of Rs 14,999.
This would be accessible for purchase on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Polygon Blockchain, a renowned Ethereum Blockchain technology, was used to create these pieces of art.
“The artwork of NFTs is an excellent example of how brands-with-a-purpose collaborate with digital artists to create art that embodies their spirit”.
The above statement is stated by Praphul Chandra, founder of KoineArth.
